BTUC 150th anniversary

 

21 October 2016  Birmingham Trades Union Council150th Anniversary Event12th November 2016 150 years of serving and fighting for the future of our community  On Saturday 12th November 2016 the Birmingham Trades Union Council will be holding an event to celebrate its 150th anniversary as a trades council. The venue for the event is the CWU Offices, Summer Lane, Birmingham B19 3TH. We have a number of speakers and entertainment including: –          Matt Wrack, General Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union-          Lee Barron, TUC Midlands Regional Secretary-          Mary Pearson, former President of BTUC-          Lynn Gregory: Godfrey Webster’s contribution to BTUC-          Paul MacKney, the history of BTUC-          Performances from Naomi Paul and Banner Theatre A buffet is being provided. Places are available and tickets are now on sale at the price of £5.00 waged and £2.50 unwaged and are available from i.scott212@btinternet.com More performers and speakers are set to be announced so don’t be disappointed and order your ticket today Best wishes,
